How The Meeting Will Work

All events and sessions will be plenary.

The Friday evening will be used to set the context and aspirations for the meetings with short historical reflections on key milestones in DISC1 research and how this relates to the roadmap for mental health research and brain science. This session with conclude with a Poster Session and Welcome Reception for all participants.

The rest of the meeting will comprise a mix of Invited Talks and shorter talks selected from Submitted Abstracts interspersed with Poster Sessions. See Programme for more details.

Saturday evening has been kept free for delegates to sample Edinburgh at Festival time.

A formal Dinner will be held at the University of Edinburgh’s magnificent Playfair Library on Sunday evening. [more details...] Participants will then be free to witness the spectacular fireworks display from Edinburgh Castle to music from Princes Street Gardens, the public event which traditionally closes the Edinburgh Festival.
